Hi, guys! Welcome to EPP class! was the greeting from us, EPP teachers of SMP Kristen Petra 3, in our learning video. Because of the corona pandemic, all students have to do learning from home. All of the teaching and learning activities are being done at home. It challenges teachers to make various creative fun learning activities yet easy to do at home. Then finally, we came up with an idea of food review video project.

Actually, the project was supposed to be done at school but sadly everything changed after corona struck. First, we made our own food review video as example so the students were able to get the idea what they should do. Hmm… Creating a vlogger-like-video is not as easy as it looks! Teaching at the classroom is way easier and more comfortable for us. Haha! However, we are sure that that students nowadays are very smarter and creative. We believe that they can do better than us teachers!

We shared our video and the explanation about the project via Zoom Meeting. The students were told to review their favorite food or drink at home or they could simply choose home cooking to review. Reviewing healthy food would be plus point for them! In their video, they must have reviewed the food taste, texture, and presentation. After they had finished recording and doing the magic video editing, they posted their video on social media such as Youtube or Instagram!

And—Walla! On the submission date, our email was flooded with a lot of Youtube and Instagram link from hundreds of talented content creators! Just like what we expected before, the students posted a lot of great videos. We felt like watching famous Youtubers videos! They spoke fluently. Their contents were very informative and entertaining. Some of them even came up with creative idea by showing how they cooked the food by themselves! They are super cool! We teachers agreed that they should start making their own video content on Youtube!
